External power supply

  • The use of an external power supply is recommended:

    • If the volume corrector/data logger operating mode is set to have a higher battery consumption and thus shorten its battery life (eg on-line communication)

    The external power supply must be used for for ELCORplus and DATCOMplus:

    • When using the S0-EXT1 module with HF NAMUR pulse input
    • When using a NAMUR encoder with a measurement period of less than 1 min

Available variants

  • PS-E

    • the basic PS-E power supply is designed for systems whose power is derived from mains voltage (Um = 250V). The PS-E can be powered, for example, from a non-backed-up power supply or from a battery backed-up power supply with an AC charger

    PS-E/A

    • the PS-E/A power supply has reduced its own power consumption compared to the basic design. Its use is suitable for battery-powered systems which can be recharged via solar panels (Um = 60V)
